The Road to Insider Designer
The process of becoming an interior designer can be daunting. For Insider Designer’s CEO Sue, that process began around eight years ago - when Sue was working in Real Estate. Sue began working on new construction with clients and started tackling design projects that her clients didn’t have a designer for. Once word of Sue’s great work spread, she was able to partner with builders and real estate agents to do designs for their model homes. After years of hard work in the industry and making a name for herself, Sue couldn’t help but look back and wish there had been a community like Insider Designer around when she had first started out.
Sue’s Vision for Insider Designer
Sue states about her goals for Insider Designer: “I want to help others do what I did. I did it the long way. I got into design by doing tons of time with builders and clients. It took me eight or nine years to get to where I am today.” “I know there are designers out there with a lot of skills, but not much experience. They don’t have the resources and it’s really hard to make it on your own. I want to help other people that have a passion for this field have a little more support.” “I don’t want them to have to worry about working for somebody for four years and then somebody else for two more. Insider Designer will create support and help them grow in the field.” In this field, oftentimes you are on your own. Insider Designer is working hard to create a community where everybody is out to help each other a bit. The idea is that by creating a network of interior designers, people with a passion for design can come and have their ideas be heard. Sue adds: “I could never in my wildest dreams work for every single person in my town. There is a huge market out there, and I think Insider Designer will help elevate the field and the design process. We are building up this place of support for professionals. I love the idea that designers will all have a place they can go and know everything we offer is great.”
Insider Designer Online Shop
Along with their community of designers, Inside Designer will include an online shop. Insider Designer will be a culmination of the best products available to interior designers. Designers will no longer struggle to find the pieces they need to bring their visions to life. Insider Designer will stock everything from bedding and sheets to statement rugs and art pieces.
Sue shares that Insider Designer’s stock “will focus on the best of the best. We are going to have our favorite sheets, favorite mattresses, and all of the stuff we know is great all across the board. I would imagine it’s going to become one of those stores where if you share our style, you know you can buy anything from our site and know you will love it.”
Insider Designer’s online stock will be available to the public and interior designers alike. Whether you are a working professional in the industry, or you are looking for the perfect statement piece to add to your own home, Insider Designer has got you covered!
